VG-170 undercoat is a black water-based HAPS free Extremely low VOC corrosion preventive coating designed for application on Heavy Duty vehicles and equipment. VG-170 provides top-of-industry protection for ferrous and non-ferrous metals with a single application. VG-170 is an industrial coating suitable and tested for direct to metal application to Military Equipment, RV chassis, farm, construction, mining, automobiles, trucks and transportation equipment, such as buses.

Surfaces to be protected must be clean and dry and metal should be free of excessive water, rust, oil and mill scale.
Ensure uniform consistency prior to use. Continued stirring is not required. The ambient and product temperature should be 50-95°F (10-35°C) at time of application. Refer to the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) for additional handling instructions, Personal Protection Equipment requirements and first aid information before using. Apply at 10-12 mils wet, do not over apply.
Will air dry to light touch in 30-45 min. and fully cure in 24 hrs. @ 70F/22C. Dry time of this water based coating will be affected by application thickness, ambient temperature, air flow and relative humidity. Product is formulated to achieve early water and freeze resistance.
Store VG-170 at temperatures between 50-95°F (10-35°C). DO NOT FREEZE. Protect from freezing during shipment and storage to avoid product damage.
