A high performance, heavy duty solvent and based wax based coating for inner body panels and/or the underside of automotive vehicles, bus bodies, trailers, motor homes, even Heavy Duty Commercial Vehicles. VG-160 Military Spec provides a waxy flexible and abrasion resistant coating with self-healing properties for superior adhesion and best-in-class protection against corrosion caused by moisture, salt, alkalis and galvanic reaction.
VG-160 is an abrasive free material, formulated with specially refined organo-metallic complex petroleum products fortified with special additives – easier on your spray equipment than many competitors. Low aromatic content rule mineral spirits are used as the carrier solvent and an odorant is added to achieve the best possible odor during application and drying. Self-leveling resins provide a smooth looking surface when using with airless spray equipment.
This atomizes at moderate spray pressures for greater control with less overspray, spray back and fogging. Optimum sprayablilty and efficiency will be achieved at 77 F but product will spray over a wide range of temperatures (60 – 90 F). Super filtration and viscosity control allow smaller tip sizes and better coverage without plugging. Apply with conventional airless spray equipment and fan spray or conical core tip spray tools. Consult SDS for safety procedures.
Recommended Pumps Tips sizes
Low Volume - Graco 15:1 with 60 - 70 lbs. of air. .017 - .023
High Volume - Graco 30-1 Bulldog. King or NXT .019- .025
VG-160 will dry to light touch in 2 hrs, and fully cure in 48 hrs @ 70 F.
Water and weather resistance are achieved immediately after application. Air movement will speed the drying process.
